The purpose of this position is to provide, manage, and supervise services within the dual diagnosis program. The position oversees the functions needed for the dual diagnosis program to run effectively and efficiently, including completing assessments (such as the ASAM), completing individualized service plans, and conducting individual sessions. Overall supervision includes supervision of staff within the program, coordination of service planning, group programming, and risk management for Dual Diagnosis clients.
Additionally, clinical and administrative supervision of staff on the Dual Diagnosis team is required.
The position provides face-to-face screening, assessment, crisis intervention, and individual and group psychotherapy in response to requests for assistance with mental health and substance use disorder issues.
Essential Job Functions- Directs, manages, and provides clinical leadership to the dual diagnosis program as assigned. Assumes responsibility for hiring and scheduling staff. Trains, monitors, and evaluates staff performance.
- Assumes responsibility for staff discipline and performance management as set forth by Riveon policies and procedures.
- Manages referrals and engagement into the services, as well as the case roster and/or utilization review of clients to determine the next level of care
- Coordinate treatment with other agencies, services and other programs within the agency.
- Complete case notes on intake process, treatment plan and client’s progress in accordance with agency and regulatory guidelines.
- Provide consultation and education service to community groups by assisting in program planning, giving educational talks and lectures, and by consulting on specific cases.
- Participate in clinical supervision and administrative meetings as required for the Outpatient Counseling Department.
- Provide clinical and managerial oversight to assigned therapists.
- Provide screening, assessment, crisis intervention, individual and group services in response to requests for aid.
- Conduct short and long-term therapy and/or counseling sessions with individuals and groups using various psychotherapeutic treatment modalities. Sessions may be conducted in a variety of settings including the main office, ancillary offices, and community settings.
- Facilitates and Oversee Intensive Outpatient Group 1-3 times per week, or as needed.
