Riveon Mental Health and Recovery prevention services include:
Botvin Lifeskills, Building Blocks, Eduvention Juvenile Diversion, Carevention Family Intervention, Comprehensive School Prevention, Drug-Free Workplace Safety Programs, HIV/AIDS Prevention, Parent to Parent educational support, Staff and Parent trainings and Teen Support Groups.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities
  • Provide prevention services in community and school-based settings.
  • Record services provided in prevention log. Complete and register all reports and billing statements for each prevention service.
  • Administer and register outcome and satisfaction surveys. Contact the referral source following each service provided.
  • Develop or adapt prevention curriculums to match community needs.
  • Staff agency educational booths at community events and health/wellness fairs.
  • Assist treatment programs as necessary.
  • Complete all CQI data collection and implement CQI corrective actions as assigned.
  • Participate monthly in Utilization Review and Peer Review Programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • General Requirements — Must adhere to the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board's Chemical Dependency Code of Ethics; demonstrate an understanding of addiction as an illness. Ability to work effectively with Agency employees, outside contacts, and a diverse client population. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to promote a healthy environment for clients. Excellent verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills.

    Good computer skills.
  • At least one year of experience in addiction prevention or related work with youth and/or families.
  • Educational Requirements — Associate Degree or substantial progress towards Associate Degree with emphasis on Addictions Treatment and Prevention or equivalent required. Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred.
  • Certification Requirements — Registered Applicant endorsement eligible required. OCSPA or higher credential preferred. If Registered Applicant, must achieve OCPSA Prevention certification within two years of employment.
  • Travel:
    Moderate, mostly local travel (based on school systems assigned). Reimbursed for business travel.
  • Hours:

    Full-Time. Some evenings and occasional weekends (1–2 per quarter).
  • Salary:
    Commensurate with licensure and experience.
