Riveon Mental Health and Recovery is looking for an Addiction Counselor (office‑based) to provide screening, assessment, treatment planning, education, referral, and documentation for adults, adolescents, and children. The role includes individual, group, family counseling, intensive outpatient services, crisis intervention, case management, and oversight of caseload quality.

Essential Functions
  • Deliver high‑quality clinical services to clients on caseload, meeting clinical standards of care.
  • Provide individual, group, family counseling, intensive outpatient services, and crisis intervention.
  • Manage caseload: orient clients, conduct clinical reviews, coordinate staffing, discharge planning, and complete daily progress notes.
  • Coordinate with referral sources and complete all CQI data collection and corrective actions.
  • Participate monthly in Utilization Review and Peer Review programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Adhere to the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board’s Chemical Dependency Code of Ethics and demonstrate an understanding of addiction as illness.
  • Have at least three years of treatment or recovery experience (or if in recovery, at least one year of continuous sobriety).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with agency employees, outside contacts, and a diverse client population.
  • Associate Degree with emphasis on Addictions Treatment and Prevention or equivalent (preferred).
  • Residency in Ohio and valid clinical license in Ohio.
  • CDCA required; LCDCII, LPC, LSW or higher credentials preferred.
Hours & Salary

Full‑time, 40 hours per week, 8 am‑4 pm. Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
