Job Summary:

Solon Pointe at Emerald Ridge, a premier healthcare organization in Solon, Ohio, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Respiratory Director to join our team. As a key member of our Respiratory Department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our Vent unit, ensuring high-quality patient care, and leading a team of Respiratory Therapists. Responsibilities:

• Supervise Vent unit staff, ensuring their work is satisfactory and aligned with policies and procedures

• Interview, hire, and schedule RTs, monitoring attendance and attendance reports

• Coordinate and monitor staff competencies, including orientation and in-services

• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and guidelines

• Order supplies and equipment for Respiratory Services

• Conduct audits of charts, new admissions, and Respiratory charting

• Discipline staff as necessary, per company policies

• Attend care conferences, daily morning meetings, and Clinical Meetings

• Receive reports from Respiratory Therapists and monitor vent units labs

• Ensure timely completion of Assessments and reviews of policies and procedures

• Serve as primary contact between Nursing, RTs, Pulmonologists, and family members

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an approved school for respiratory therapy

• Active State Respiratory Care Practitioner License
