Salary and Benefits

The starting salary for a Cuyahoga County MST Therapist is between $58,220 and $64,220 (includes base salary and on‑call/cell phone stipends) depending on degree and licensure. MST Therapists also receive a first‑year $2,000 sign‑on bonus, second‑year $4,000, and can earn an additional $3,000+ per year in model‑adherence bonuses. Estimated at 16‑20 cases per year.

Join our Community‑Based Therapist/Clinician team and work alongside the longest‑serving Multisystemic Therapy (MST) & Problem Sexual Behavior (PSB) provider in Ohio, Jamesena Richardson.

Multisystemic Therapy is an ecological, evidence‑based program focused on youth and their families. Community‑based therapists empower parents and improve their effectiveness by identifying strengths, building natural supports, and removing barriers.

As a Therapist, you will provide in‑home assessment, treatment, case management, crisis intervention and advocacy to adolescents and families. You will maintain fidelity to the MST model and coordinate with all members of the treatment team to achieve targeted outcomes.

• Bachelor’s level or higher with a major in social work, psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or other human services field. New graduates welcome!
• LSW, LPC, or MFT with prior experience in delivering mental health services in the home/community to children and families with complex needs.
• Flexibility of schedule and ability to travel as family needs arise.

• Provide MST services to a small caseload of youth and families in community settings, including homes, schools, and neighborhoods.
• Ensure client and community safety through development, implementation, monitoring, and revision of individualized safety plans for each client/family.
• Engage primary caregiver and other key participants in active change‑oriented treatment by identifying and overcoming barriers to engagement.
• Provide family therapy, parent training, CBT, skills building, school and community system interventions, and clarification work.
• Conduct MST assessment, including review of referral information, engagement of key participants, and analysis of problem behaviors within the ecological context.
• Participate in weekly group supervision, weekly phone consultation, and individual supervision as directed.
• Maintain clear and concise documentation of treatment efforts that promote peer and supervisory review and feedback, and demonstrate compliance with MST Principles and the MST Analytic Process.

• Bachelor’s‑level licensed mental‑health treatment experience with children and families, or experience working with children and families as part of a master’s degree internship program.
