Overview The Human Resources Specialist performs specialized clerical and administrative tasks to support HR operations and projects. Completes routine data entry, report generation, and audit activities to ensure the accuracy of employee data in HRIS systems. Assists with delivering core HR processes like onboarding, hiring, terminations, retirements, timekeeping, payroll, and program implementations, including benefits, compensation, and performance management. May administer HR systems used for timekeeping, performance, and training management processes.

Supports the execution of all HR transactions and administration, such as payroll processing, benefits administration, regulatory compliance, and onboarding and offboarding activities
Maintains regular HRIS input by collecting relevant employee lifecycle information, such as personal data, contract terms, and benefits and compensation details
Supports recruitment efforts for all levels of employees, including temporary workers and contractors; writes and places advertisements; works with managers to screen and interview candidates; conducts reference checks; extends job offers; conducts new-employee orientations; monitors career path programs and employee development counseling
Contributes to onboarding and offboarding efforts—assists with creation of frameworks for educational sessions for new hires and feedback and exit interviews for terminated employees
Verifies the accuracy and completeness of all personnel data.
Supports employee relations functions to ensure consistent application of policies and procedures and objectives are met; facilitates and coach managers through disciplinary process, as appropriate.
Supports payroll, including auditing processes, for accuracy and compliance.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required Education & Experience Education Associates degree in related field and 2 plus years of experience or combination of education and experience.
Experience HR Administration Employee data management
Experience in data input
Familiarity with HRIS and HCM software such as Workday or ADPExcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team Employee Relations Competencies Business Acumen Communication Consultation Critical Evaluation Ethical Practice Employee Engagement and Relations Payroll Processing Advanced Problem-Solving Skills Environmental, Health & Safety Confidentiality Proficient in MS Office programs and HRIS/payroll systems (ADP experience preferred)

Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting and on the plant floor.
