Overview
A Help Desk Specialist at GDIT supporting the F-35 Lightning II Program in Miamisburg, OH. Provide first-tier technical assistance to users and coordinate with technical teams to resolve issues for this mission-critical government customer.
Responsibilities- Provide software, hardware, and printing support to computer users via in-person, email, telephone, or electronic channels.
- Diagnose and resolve user problems through discussion, research, and testing.
- Document, track, and monitor technical issues to ensure timely resolution.
- Serve as focal point for customer concerns and coordinate with system administrators, network technicians, infrastructure technicians, and application engineers.
- Simulate or recreate user problems to troubleshoot and resolve operational difficulties.
- Recommend system modifications to reduce future user problems.
- Active Secret clearance required.
- 5+ years of experience supporting help‑desk Tier 1, Tier 2, or Tier 3 operations for a large-scale government customer.
- Experience with micro‑computer hardware, networks, account administration, and office automation software.
- Experience with Remedy/Help Desk Management Systems.
- Progressive experience managing a technical support team.
- Experience developing and providing Service Level Agreements and help‑desk deliverables.
- CompTIA Security+CE and AZ-900–Microsoft Azure Fundamentals certifications required.
- DoD 8140 Work Role (411) Technical Support Specialist – Basic certification required.
- BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Sciences, or related IT discipline (or 6years additional work experience without a degree, or 2years additional experience with an AS/AA).

Hourly rate: $29.43 – $39.81 (based on experience, location, and contractual requirements).
