Manufacturing Production, Machine Operator, CNC Machinist
Purpose
Responsible for set-up, programming and operating CNC Mills, CNC Machining Center and Wire EDM Machines that are used to produce high tolerance products to support of production.

- Program and operate CNC Mills, CNC Machining Center and Wire EDM Machines
- Write programs and make adjustments to adhere to established specifications and correct faulty programming.
- Make necessary program adjustments as a result of material variations.
- Make general decisions as to the quality, tolerance and operation sequence.
- Maintain all equipment and work areas.
- Maintain computer files and backup to part prints.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, plus formal training leading to Journeyman status as a Tool & Die Maker and/or equivalent on the job experience.
- 3 plus years of related work experience.
- Strong mechanical ability and problem-solving skills sufficient to perform fabrication and build activities.
- Blueprint reading and interpretation.
- Knowledge of cutting, forming, milling, grinding, assembly, tool steel composition, tool sharpening, hardness testing, machine repair, and set-up, and metal fabrication.
- Operate basic metrology instruments, grinders, mills, lathes, drill presses, optical comparator.
- Knowledge of CNC Programming.
- CAD and part layout experience.
- Familiarity with Siemens controllers.
- Knowledge of IATF
16949 requirements. - Computer skills and math skills sufficient to perform department related tasks required.
- Communication skills to communicate and interact with all levels of employees.
- Ability to work effectively with people.
Hi-lo and crane certification and journeyman status or accredited certificate required.
Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on the plant floor.
