Hospice Aide - North Region

Position: Full Time Hospice Aide - North Region
Sprenger Hospice is looking for compassionate individuals that enjoy working with senior adults. As a STNA for Sprenger Hospice you will be responsible for providing basic patient care to promote patient comfort and support under the direction of a registered nurse.

Job Responsibilities

* Provide basic personal care needs according to the patient care plan and under the direction of an RN

* Documenting all duties in a timely manner

* Attending required in services

* Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

* You must have at least 1 year experience with direct patient care in home health, hospice, hospitals, and/or a long-term care facility.

* Licensed by the state of Ohio; STNA must be in good standing

* Valid driver's license along with reliable transportation

* Must be willing to travel between homes and facilities

* Must be able to work independently

* Clear criminal background check

* Demonstrates interest and empathy for the terminally ill and is comfortable with issues of death and dying

* Possess strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively and professionally with patients, families and colleagues

Qualifications:

* STNA (Required)

* Hospice or Home Health Agency experience preferred

* Must possess interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients and their families, as well as all interdisciplinary caregivers, peers, subordinates, and supervisors.

* Must exhibit or demonstrate the ability to learn computer skills related to electronic clinical record documentation.

* Must have reliable vehicle/transportation, valid drivers license and the required automobile insurance
