RN Med Surg | Lorain, Ohio

Deliver compassionate, high-quality care to adult medical-surgical patients in a dynamic clinical environment, supporting those with orthopedic, neuro-surgical, and level 1 trauma needs. Your skillset as a Registered Nurse will be vital in providing safe, effective, and patient-centered care throughout this contract position.

Responsibilities:

• Support adult inpatient populations in medical-surgical units, including orthopedics and neuro-surgical cases
• Deliver patient care with a strong emphasis on zero-harm philosophy, safety, and adherence to best practices
• Participate actively in care for level 1 trauma patients as part of a collaborative team
• Enhance patient experience through effective pain management and proactive rounding
• Foster smooth transitions by facilitating thorough bedside hand-offs and clear documentation
• Monitor and respond to patient status, implementing interventions as needed
• Work collaboratively with physicians, allied health professionals, and support staff to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications:

• Current RN license and BLS certification required
• Previous experience in medical-surgical, orthopedic, or neuro-surgical nursing strongly preferred
• Proficiency in trauma care within an adult inpatient setting is a plus
• Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication abilities to support patient engagement and team collaboration
