Job Description
We are looking for a field technician to join our Advanced Gas Operations (AGO) division as a Locator. This role involves locating gas lines and other underground utilities using best‑in‑class equipment. The position is full‑time, daytime, with overtime, weekend, and on‑call shifts as needed.
Compensation$18.00 Hourly
Responsibilities- Use locating equipment to identify the location of gas lines within a designated area and mark the area with paint and flags to protect utility infrastructure. Some hand‑digging to unearth gas lines may be required.
- Develop knowledge and understanding of underground utility infrastructure.
- Follow all company, client, state, and federal damage prevention guidelines.
- As a technician in our AGO division, you may locate other utilities in addition to gas lines, depending upon the project you are assigned.

- Available for overtime, weekends, and on‑call shifts as required.
- Ability to travel locally during the business day; occasional out‑of‑area or overnight travel may be needed.
- Pass a drug screen (safety‑sensitive position).
- Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
- Able to stand, walk, and lift heavy items up to 75 lbs for extended periods.
- Able to distinguish colors used to identify wiring and mark underground utilities.
- Computer proficiency.
- Ability to read, understand, and reference locate tickets, maps and prints; basic math skills for distance calculations.
- Clear communication with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners; customer service experience is a plus.
