1st & 2nd Shift Maintenance Technicians – Lorain, OH
A leading automotive supplier near Lorain, Ohio is seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians for both 1st and 2nd Shift. These are full-time, permanent, direct-hire positions offering competitive compensation, bonus potential, comprehensive benefits, paid holidays, and paid vacation.
Position SummaryThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment to maximize uptime and support production. This position will perform preventive maintenance, respond to equipment breakdowns, assist with equipment installations, and ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on manufacturing equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on stamping presses, welding equipment, and other automated production machinery.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and complete repairs to minimize production downtime.
- Assist with the installation, startup, and modification of new and rebuilt manufacturing equipment.
- Perform general facility maintenance, including basic electrical, plumbing, and building repairs.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate equipment issues to the Maintenance Manager.
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Journeyman Machine Repair certification or equivalent hands-on maintenance experience preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair.
- Experience supporting metal stamping, welding, or automated assembly equipment is highly preferred.
- Working knowledge of NEC and ANSI standards.
- Strong technical troubleshooting, communication, computer, and basic math skills.
