Overview

Frontier Kitchen is a business incubator and shared commercial kitchen dedicated to helping food and beverage entrepreneurs launch, grow, and scale successful businesses. Our mission is to empower people to achieve their entrepreneurial goals and create strong, sustainable companies.

Position Summary

The Member Success Director plays a pivotal role in helping new and existing entrepreneurs thrive within the Frontier Kitchen community. This person serves as both a coach and a relationship manager, guiding food business founders through the early stages of development while ensuring that members make full use of the resources and opportunities available.

This role also includes membership sales and onboarding — engaging prospective entrepreneurs, helping them understand the value of joining Frontier Kitchen, and ensuring their smooth integration into our community.

Member Success & Coaching
  • Serve as the main point of contact for new and current members.
  • Provide individualized coaching and accountability for entrepreneurs in the startup and growth phases.
  • Help members set business goals, identify gaps, and develop action plans.
  • Connect members with appropriate resources, mentors, and opportunities.
  • Monitor member progress and proactively address challenges or concerns.
  • Respond to inquiries from prospective members and guide them through the application process.
  • Conduct facility tours and sales consultations.
  • Convert qualified leads into new memberships by clearly communicating the value and services of Frontier Kitchen.
  • Coordinate onboarding sessions to ensure new members understand policies, procedures, and available support.
Community Engagement & Retention
  • Foster a vibrant, inclusive, and collaborative community environment.
  • Plan and coordinate networking events, training sessions, and member mixers.
  • Collect member feedback to improve satisfaction and retention.
  • Develop and implement systems to track member engagement and business outcomes.
Program Support & Administration
  • Maintain accurate records of member activity and outcomes in CRM or member management systems.
  • Collaborate with marketing to promote success stories, events, and programs.
  • Support strategic initiatives and partnerships that enhance the incubator’s value proposition.
  • Assist in collecting impact data for corporate reports and performance metrics.
Required

The successful person in this position will care about their customers and have passion for helping people. They will be genuinely interested in their members' companies and finding the best way to help the individual achieve their goals.

  • A teaching background would be very helpful and desired in this position. A kitchen/food service background is not useful in this position.
  • 3+ years of experience in coaching or teaching (professional or sports)
  • 3+ years of experience in sales, business development, account management, or member relations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills — ability to inspire and motivate entrepreneurs.
  • Demonstrated sales experience or comfort with consultative selling.
  • Passion for small business development, entrepreneurship, or the food & beverage industry.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to balance empathy with accountability when coaching members.
Preferred
  • Experience working in an incubator, coworking space, or entrepreneurial support program.
  • Knowledge of food production, regulations, or operations in a commercial kitchen environment is helpful but not required (will be trained)
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (Zoho, Google) and basic data tracking.
