The team lead provides day‑to‑day management and oversight of the electronic services staff, makes recommendations for the development of new electronic communications systems, and handles procurement of equipment, parts and supplies in coordination with the COR. Additionally, the team lead provides logistical support to the DOE/HQ Office of Administration for digital communications, electronic equipment, and IT and other outside communications services as required.
Responsibilities- Manage day‑to‑day operations of the electronic services team, including staff oversight, equipment procurement, and logistics support.
- Engineer, set up, and maintain studio, auditorium, conference room, and outdoor/off‑site facilities for video production, television broadcasting, digital media, in‑house cable TV, video conferencing, and radio communications. Tasks include fabricating, installing, and upgrading video, audio, MATV, and VTC systems.
- Supervise broadcast and industrial‑quality television production and post‑production using equipment such as cameras, lighting, recorders, video switchers, playback devices, press support gear, animation or presentation tools, audio boards, mixers, amplifiers, wireless microphones, multiplexers, AV routers, video converters, modulators, encoders, streaming capture devices, fiber‑optic systems, and television broadcast headends.
- Plan, manage, and evaluate technology development projects: create AutoCAD diagrams, conduct analysis, quality control, installation, maintenance, and ensure resource allocation, administrative, budget, and personnel management per contract requirements.
- Ensure the day‑to‑day operations of all Electronic Services requirements directed by the Project Manager; attend weekly staff meetings, present ideas, and provide feedback on behalf of the support services team.
- Document all equipment work, cable drops, equipment modifications, conferencing events, broadcast events, and repair work.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience serving in a team lead function and a Bachelor's or Associate's degree from an accredited college or university.
