Control Room Operator

Constellation Energy seeks a Control Room Operator to monitor and control plant and grid operations in a fast-paced utility environment. In this role, you will operate SCADA/HMI systems, track equipment status, respond to alarms, and adjust controls to maintain safe, reliable, and efficient energy production. You'll follow strict safety and regulatory procedures, coordinate with field technicians and dispatch, and document all events and operating conditions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate SCADA/HMI and control systems to manage plant and grid operations.
• Respond to alarms and abnormal conditions, taking corrective action or escalating as needed.
• Adjust controls to maintain safe, reliable, and efficient energy production and distribution.
• Communicate with field technicians, dispatch, and management to coordinate system activities and outages.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards and document compliance as required.
• Maintain detailed logs of system status, events, alarms, and operational decisions.
• Perform routine system checks, trend analysis, and basic troubleshooting of operational issues.
• Support emergency and contingency procedures during grid events, storms, or equipment failures.
• Participate in training, drills, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and safety.
• Provide clear shift handoffs and collaborate with teammates to ensure 24/7 operational coverage.
