An AutoCAD Detailer for AV Systems to create technical drawings—including signal flows, rack elevations, and reflected ceiling plans (RCPs)—using AutoCAD to guide audio-visual installation. This role requires expertise in 2D design, cabling, and infrastructure.

What You’ll Be Doing- Drawings & Documentation:
Create detailed AV schematics, signal flow diagrams, rack elevations, and cable pathways. - Construction Documents:
Develop site plans, RCPs, and mounting details to ensure accurate AV equipment placement. - Design Modification:
Apply "red lines" from engineers, architects, or designers to finalize drawings. - Infrastructure Coordination:
Create layouts showing cabling, power requirements, and structural mounting points. - Standards Compliance:
Follow company CAD standards and naming conventions, such as using specific block libraries. - As-Builts:
Produce final "as-built" documentation after installation completion.
- Software Proficiency:
High proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit, Sketch Up, or 3D modeling tools is often preferred. - AV Industry Knowledge:
Understanding of AV components, low-voltage systems, and rack fabrication. - Technical Drawing:
Strong understanding of engineering drawing practices and architectural plans. - Collaboration:
Excellent communication skills to work with engineers, project managers, and installation technicians. - Associate's degree in Drafting/Design or related experience.
- CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) certification is a strong advantage.
