Job Type: Full-time.
In This Role, You Will Be Responsible For- Resolve customer issues and complaints to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Evaluate workload and schedule service work in a way that best utilizes manpower and maximizes profits.
- Create and manage budgets.
- Ensure that materials and equipment are ordered and dispensed for scheduled jobs.
- Schedule repairs for parts to ensure minimal down‑time in job completion.
- Conduct research and participate in the marketing process of the department.
- Generate reports and review reports with management.
- Maintain records on all inventory, tools, and vehicles.
- Instruct crews on the proper use of materials and quality workmanship.
- Review payroll records to ensure that technicians are paid properly.
- Ensure that employees have proper tools for the job and that they are properly maintained.
- Assist the dispatching operation to ensure appropriate technician selection for the type of service.
- Evaluate staff to determine training requirements.
- Provide on‑the‑job training and support to employees.
- Manage and develop our Service staff, including hiring, terminating, disciplining, scheduling, setting work priorities, conducting staff meetings, counseling employees, evaluating performance, and directing work assignments to ensure effective production.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- 5+ years of industry experience in HVAC service; 2+ years of HVAC Management experience.
- Working knowledge of gas piping, electricity, plumbing, and airflow.
- Strong supervisory, communications, computer, and mathematical skills.
- Great attitude with a dedication to quality work.
- Customer service oriented.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
Physical Requirements Of This Job Include
- Lifting 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
- Climbing ladders, accessing attics, navigating tight spaces, driving, entering crawlspaces, pushing, carrying, pulling, using hand tools, and performing fine detail work.
- Ability to drive.
- Working in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, attics, crawlspaces.
- Ability to stand, walk and sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone.
- Use hands to handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms.
- Regularly stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch.
- The work requires regular exposure to extreme temperatures both indoors and outdoors, such as heat or cold, and adverse weather conditions such as wind, rain, ice or snow.
