Leidos is seeking a Spectrum Engineer/Radio Frequency professional to design, analyze, and manage RF systems supporting mission-critical government and commercial programs. In this role, you will perform spectrum planning, link budget analysis, interference assessment, and propagation modeling for wireless, satellite, and tactical communications. Collaborating with cross-functional engineering and IT teams, you'll develop compliant RF architectures, prepare spectrum supportability documentation, and interface with regulators.
You'll help optimize performance, ensure cybersecurity-aware designs, and support testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of complex RF systems in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and analyze RF and spectrum-dependent systems for government and commercial programs
- Perform link budget calculations, propagation modeling, and interference analysis
- Conduct spectrum planning and coordination to ensure regulatory compliance
- Prepare spectrum supportability, engineering, and technical documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, IT, and program teams on system architectures
- Support lab and field testing, measurement, and troubleshooting of RF systems
- Optimize RF system performance, resilience, and security-aware design
- Interface with customers and stakeholders to capture requirements and present findings
- Assist in proposal development and technical estimations for new opportunities
- Contribute to continuous improvement, standards, and best practices in RF engineering
