Job Description
The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) System Administrator supporting the HEITS contract as part of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) under the Intelligence and Analysis (I&A) component. This is an exciting opportunity to use your System Administration skills to support the DHS Intelligence Enterprise Cross Domain Services (IECDS). The IECDS is the Enterprise Cross Domain Service Provider for the DHS IE.
It provides a broad range of Transfer and Access Solutions including multi‑level file drop, multi‑level email, multi‑level database replication, various types of machine‑to‑machine transfers, automated low to high and high to low transfers.
- Handle escalated inquiries from the Tier 1 Classified Network Coordination Center (CNCC) Help Desk and resolve issues that require advanced problem‑solving skills and in‑depth knowledge.
- Maintain Windows and Linux servers in a virtual environment (including software releases and patches).
- Manage the CDS Service Now support queue, resolving incidents and fulfilling service requests (e.g., user access, group management, and form adjustments).
- Support all CDS maintenance activities to ensure proper functionality and deployment throughout the enterprise.
- Maintain and improve Operations & Maintenance (O&M) configuration management templates (in Jira Kanban / Confluence and SharePoint).
- Monitor system performance and respond to alerts.
- Work under the guidance of a CDS Subject Matter Expert (SME) to accomplish time-sensitive projects.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience or Master’s Degree with 6+ years in a related discipline. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Willingness to learn / train to become proficient with Cross Domain Solutions technology.
- Experience with Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.
- Working in an Agile project management environment.
- Ability to work in a team and a self‑starter who can work on their own.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Active Top Secret government clearance and the ability to obtain DHS EOD SCI.
- DHS or other government contract experience.
- Working knowledge of scripts to support patching, configuration, and other infrastructure team tasking using languages such as Python, Bash, or Power Shell.
- Experience working with Cross Domain Solutions.
