Responsibilities
Noblis ESI is seeking a Battle Space Awareness Enterprise Specialist (BSA-E) to provide battle space awareness support to space operations mission functions in an integrated space operations center environment located in Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
The selected candidate will support enterprise-level battle space awareness activities spanning ground segment, space segment, and network/communications integration. Working under the guidance of senior personnel, this roll will contribute to maintaining an accurate and timely Common Operating Picture to support mission decision-making across the NRO, USSPACECOM, USSF, and mission partner organizations.
Responsibilities Include- Support enterprise and national-level battle space awareness activities in an integrated space operations center environment.
- Assist in maintaining an accurate and timely Common Operating Picture to support operational decision-making across ground segment, space segment, and network/communications layers.
- Monitor and assess NRO enterprise operations including system integration, dependencies, and data flow.
- Support orbital mechanics analysis and satellite operations monitoring in support of battle space awareness functions.
- Assist in identifying, tracking, and communicating operational issues, anomalies, and risks to critical systems to appropriate stakeholders.
- Support briefings and presentations of battle space awareness products to operations staff and senior personnel.
- Coordinate with mission ground stations, satellite operations, and network/communications teams to support integrated mission execution.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of battle space awareness products, reports, and assessments.
- Support coordination with NRO, USSPACECOM, USSF, and IC mission partners on enterprise and national-level battle space awareness activities.
- Maintain awareness of current and emerging threats in multiple domains (space, terrestrial, cyber) to space systems and operations.
- Support the development and implementation of battle space awareness TTPs and standard operating procedures.
- Document and report battle space awareness activities, issues, and resolutions in accordance with established procedures.
- Support senior BSA specialists in the execution of complex battle space awareness activities.
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
- US Citizenship is required.
- Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant experience with demonstrated expertise OR Master's degree and 1 year of relevant experience with demonstrated expertise OR demonstrate an additional 4 years of related experience if no bachelor's degree is held.
- Demonstrated foundational experience with NRO MGS/IC operations including system integration, dependencies, and data flow.
- Professional experience or education in orbital mechanics.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to the maintenance of a Common Operating Picture in support of operational decision-making.
- Familiarity with NRO, USSPACECOM, and USSF organizational structures and missions.
- Basic understanding of space and counter space operations and associated battle space awareness requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to convey battle space awareness products clearly.
- Ability to work collaboratively under supervision in a matrixed, multi-organization environment.
- Experience with NRO MGS/IC operations and battle space awareness functions.
- Familiarity with USSPACECOM and USSF operational processes and organizational structures.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of orbital mechanics and satellite collision avoidance.
- Background in counter space operations and associated threat analysis.
- Experience with space situational awareness systems and tools.
- Familiarity with IC collection management processes and tools.
- Background in ground segment, space segment, and network/communications integration.
- Familiarity with space enterprise coordination and joint planning processes.
- Experience supporting space operations centers in a battle space awareness capacity.
