This position is responsible for securing vehicles within carriers to be transported.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the placement and removal of chockers on each car wheel.
- Precisely position automobiles within the carriers.
- Chock and strap the vehicles in the carrier.
- Remove chocks and straps at the arrival terminal.
- Wear and use required protective equipment while working.
- Take responsibility for personal safety while on the job.

- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
- Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Work Environment:
The role requires a willingness to work in all weather conditions and various hours to accommodate the arrival and departure of trains. You must be willing to work odd hours and/or split shifts, including days, nights, and/or weekends. The position involves working alone and unsupervised, with shifts starting between 8 AM - 11 AM, consisting of 6-hour shifts, 5-6 days a week.
Working every weekend is required, with 1-2 days off during the week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lorton, VA.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
