Position Overview
This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Office of Forensic Sciences, Digital Evidence Laboratory.
PurposeThe purpose of this position is to serve as a Digital Forensic Group Supervisor providing first level supervision to a group of digital forensic examiners.

Basic Qualification Requirements- Attention to Detail – Is thorough when performing work and conscientiously attends to detail.
- Customer Service – Works with clients and customers (that is, any individual who uses or receives the services or products that your work or unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services;
and is committed to providing quality products and services. - Oral Communication – Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues; and responds appropriately.
- Problem Solving – Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
In addition to the above basic requirement, applicants applying for the GS-14 must also meet one of the following requirements:
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- advising employees on policies and procedures, interpreting and applying applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines with regard to forensic examination of digital evidence;
- establishing and adjusting priorities and work schedules to ensure timely completion of assignments;
- supporting quality management activities through audits, non‑conformance investigations, and corrective or preventive actions in the support of a laboratory quality management system;
- coordinating developing, exchanging and presenting digital evidence and examination results;
- providing technical and administrative guidance and direction concerning examinations, analyses of evidence and organizational directives.
