Description
Diagnose and repair operational problems with boiler controls and boiler accessories. New machine installation, start‑ups, repairs and selling service and service contracts.
RequirementsThe employee will have a strong understanding of Mechanical Equipment Applications, Ladder logic and electrical drawings.

The employee will have a strong understanding of Mechanical Equipment Applications, Ladder logic and electrical drawings.
Education / ExperienceHigh school diploma and minimum of two years related experience and/or training or equivalent of education and experience. Complete knowledge of commercial and industrial boiler room units. Experience in Programmable Logic and Direct Digital Controls, combustion, combustion controls, emissions, efficiency testing, flame safe guard controls, HVACR systems, steam systems and electrical.
Computer SkillsTo perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient and have basic knowledge of computers and MS Office Suite. Control software experience is required.
Certificates and LicensesValid Driver’s License, Apprentice or Journeyman License. First or Second Grade Engineer’s License optional.
Language AbilityAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Work EnvironmentTechnician will work daily at customer sites where climate and noise levels will vary. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
Physical DemandsThe employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
