Join Sunbelt Rentals as a Mechanic, performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of equipment including Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools, and specialty lines such as generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas equipment.

In an entrepreneurial and safety‑focused environment, you will maintain equipment to minimize downtime while building skills for future career tracks in service or operation management.

• Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Work on a variety of makes, models, and equipment types, including aerial work platforms, general construction tools, large‑scale generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas equipment.
• Use mechanic’s tools and maintain an organized work station.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical systems, identifying and resolving issues efficiently.
• Adapt to changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Work safely indoors or outdoors, following all safety procedures.

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent training preferred.
• Experience servicing diesel or heavy equipment, or specialty lines such as generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil/gas equipment.
• Advanced knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems and troubleshooting skills.
• Willingness to provide mechanic’s tools as needed.
• Bilingual in Spanish or other languages may be required based on location.

Requires bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 50 pounds or more. Work may be performed indoors or outdoors, depending on job requirements.

Base Pay Range: $21.84 – $30.03 per hour, varying by position, location, education, training, and experience.
