Salary Range: $20.00 To $26.00 Hourly
Position SummaryThe Commercial Installer – Works alongside our Moving Teams on job assignments. They responsible for the installation, reconfiguration, assembly, and removal of commercial furniture and related systems. Related experience considered. Specifically experience in the Moving Industry/Home Improvement/Construction /Renovation with hands on experience assembling/disassembling furniture/furniture systems (office)/cabinet/closet/storage systems.
Commercial Furniture Installers are expected to function as full members of the moving crew and are accountable for job quality, safety, and efficiency regardless of project type.
Reporting StructureReports To:
Operations Manager or Crew Leader
Works Closely With:
Project Managers, Crew Leaders, Warehouse, Operations, and Customers
Read and follow furniture plans, layouts, and installation instructions.
Perform loading, unloading, staging, and placement of furniture and equipment.
Support both commercial and residential move execution as assigned.
Move Execution & Labor ResponsibilitiesPerform all physical aspects of moving, including lifting, carrying, loading, and unloading.
Assist with packing, protection, and staging of furniture and equipment.
Follow job scopes, work orders, and Crew Leader instructions.
Safety, Compliance & AccountabilityFollow all safety policies, installation standards, and procedures.
Use proper tools, equipment, and PPE.
Report damages, incidents, or safety concerns immediately.
Administrative & Timesheet ResponsibilitiesAccurately complete daily timesheets.
Ensure time is recorded correctly to the appropriate job.
Assist with job documentation and closeout as required.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
Experience with commercial furniture installation or moving.
Ability to lift 100+ lbs. repeatedly.
Ability to read layouts, drawings, or installation plans.
Preferred QualificationsManufacturer certification or installer training.
Experience with modular office furniture systems.
Work Environment & ExpectationsField-based role with physical labor in varying environments.
Exposure to tools, equipment, weather, and active job sites.
High level of accountability, attention to detail, and teamwork required.
