Trades ​/ Skilled Labor Technician, Maintenance Technician ​/ Mechanic

Job Description Summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Technician who will perform preventive maintenance and make repairs on equipment in the safest, most effective way possible to avoid downtime. The fleet primarily includes Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools and equipment, with specialty lines such as large‑scale generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas related equipment.

Work on a variety of makes, models, and equipment, developing new skills for a career track in service or operation management. Perform preventive maintenance and repairs, troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical systems, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 1 to 3 years of Technician experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment, or specialty lines equipment (large‑scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred.

• May need to provide tools of trade.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be required based on location needs.

Requires bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 50 pounds or more. Work may be performed indoors or outdoors as required by the job.

Base Pay Range: $24.58 - $33.80 (Starting rate of pay may vary based on position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience).
