UAS Ground Control Systems Software Engineer
The Opportunity:
Build the bridge between end users and autonomous systems through the development and implementation of Command and Control (C2) applications and mission software for autonomous Uncrewed Aerial Systems (UAS). Research, development, integrate, and deployment software for the Ground Control Station (GCS) across desktop and mobile platforms. Collaborate with autonomy developers and to provide the human-computer interface across a range of DoW missions and objectives.
Apply advanced engineering skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction, and mentor and supervise team members.

You Have:
3+ years of experience as a software developer working on Linux-based embedded or edge systems
3+ years of experience with extensible software development, including plugins, extensions, and modular design patterns
1+ years of experience developing applications using QGround Control
Experience with software package management and configuration management tools, such as Conan and Nix
Knowledge of the UAS domain including mission planning or vehicle management
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree in a Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Robotics field
Nice If You Have:
Experience with Tactical Assault Kit (TAK) software development
Experience designing and developing user-interface workflows
Experience developing software following Dev Ops principles, including Agile, CI/CD, test-driven development, and using automation tools, including pipelines and runners
Master’s degree in a Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Robotics field preferred;
Doctorate degree in a Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Robotics field a plus
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
