UCI Health is the clinical enterprise of the University of California, Irvine, and the only academic health system based in Orange County. Position Summary: Under the guidance of the Market Education Director, the Nursing Educator collaborates with facility and market nursing leadership and staff across departments to assess, plan, develop, implement, facilitate, evaluate, and revise educational programming for all levels of nursing personnel and non‑nursing personnel as indicated or requested. The educator acts as a key resource in the orientation and continuing education of nursing staff, implementing a comprehensive education program for assigned units while aligning with educational goals and visions.

Educational programs typically include orientation, continuing education, and in‑service training, and other services may involve process, performance, and service‑delivery consultation and contributions to councils, committees, and work groups.

• Must possess the essential skills, knowledge, and abilities for successful performance of assigned duties.
• Must demonstrate appropriate customer service skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
• Master’s Degree in Nursing, Nursing Education, or related specialty.
• 5 years nursing experience in an acute care setting.
• 3–5 years critical care experience.
• Current and active California Board of Registered Nurse License (RN).
• Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

• Knowledge of university and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms.
• 2–3 years CVICU (Cardiac/Open‑Heart Surgery) experience.
