Americom Technologies LLC is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team in our OSP Department. The OSP Department is responsible for underground infrastructure placing conduit, fiber, and copper to support telecommunications, data networks, and fire mitigation.

Lead a field crew in the safe and efficient installation of OSP infrastructure, including fiber optic and utility systems. Responsible for daily crew productivity, quality of work, and adherence to project plans and safety standards
.
- Oversee daily OSP construction activities including fiber placement, conduit installation, trenching, boring, restoration, splicing coordination and testing readiness.
- Ensure crews are building to approved prints, as-builts, and customer specifications.
- Monitor production rates and adjust resources to meet schedule commitments.
- Champion a “Safety First” culture across all crews.
- Conduct and enforce daily JHAs are completed.
- Empower employees to use Tyfoom for daily safety training.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA/MSHA standards, DOT and traffic control requirements, and state utility locate laws.
- Perform routine field safety audits and corrective actions.
- Drive production, cost control, and profitability across all assigned jobs.
- Track and manage labor hours and productivity, equipment utilization, material usage, and waste.
- Assist Construction Managers to forecast schedules and budgets, mitigate risks and scope changes.
- Support accurate job costing and timely reporting and ensure employee time approval is completed daily.
- Serve as the primary field liaison between crews, project management, and customers.
- Ensure professional communication and timely updates on progress, delays or risks, and changes in conditions.
- Represent the company positively in public and customer interactions.
- Supervise Foremen and multiple field crews.
- Train, mentor, and develop team members in OSP best practices.
- Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct performance feedback and support workforce development.
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and passes inspections.
- Verify proper depth, spacing, placement of facilities, and restoration meets municipal requirements.
- Support accurate as-built documentation.
- Coordinate inspections with customers, municipalities, and inspectors.
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in OSP construction (fiber preferred).
- Minimum 3+ years in a Foreman or Superintendent role (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of underground fiber construction methods, traffic control standards, locating and damage prevention practices.
- Ability to read and interpret construction prints, fiber route maps, and splice diagrams (preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production and reporting systems.
- Safety leadership and hazard recognition.
- Strong decision-making in dynamic field conditions.

- Effective communication across field and office teams.
- Financial awareness and cost control.
- Problem-solving and adaptability.
- OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30.
- Competent Person certification.
- Class A CDL.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Outdoor work in varied weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, etc.).
- Exposure to noise, heavy equipment, and construction environments.
- Travel between multiple job sites as required.
- Able to lift up to 80 lbs.
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
