DARHT Gamma Ray Camera Operator (Engineered Systems Tec
4) job at Los Alamos National Laboratory. Los Alamos, NM.

What You Will Do

Join the DARHT Experiments and Radiographic Science (J-4) Group at Los Alamos National Laboratory and contribute to a multidisciplinary team that fields large-scale, integrated hydrodynamic weapons experiments at the Dual-Axis Radiographic Hydrodynamic Test Facility (DARHT)-the world s premier hydrotesting facility. As part of our radiography team, you will help design, field, analyze, and document the radiographic aspects of hydrodynamic tests that are essential to the Laboratory s national security mission.

This work involves use of MeV radiography, advanced optics, electronics, and state-of-the-art radiographic diagnostics, as well as close collaboration with scientists, engineers, mathematicians, technicians, IT professionals, designers, and external partners from diverse backgrounds. You will also assist in the operation of gamma-ray camera (GRC) systems and in the execution of complex hydrodynamic experiments. J Division fosters a culture rooted in mutual trust, interdependent teaming, and shared success.

We value innovation, creative problem-solving, and operational excellence. Our mission is to deliver high-quality, technically rigorous data to our partners, making this role an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about impactful science and dedicated to national service.
