Position Summary

The Work Control Planner is responsible for oversight of mission-critical deliverables for construction activities and operations, ensuring quality, accuracy, efficiency, and timely completion. This role manages work in a Hazard Category 2, Security Classification 2 radiological facility, coordinating construction and field operations in compliance with Laboratory policies and regulatory requirements. The position organizes resources, coordinates teams, supports project execution, and maintains consistent application of engineering standards and practices.

Additionally, it oversees documentation, process improvements, budget management, and stakeholder communication to ensure the successful end-to-end completion of deliverables.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee mission-critical construction and operational deliverables, ensuring quality, accuracy, andtimelycompletion.
• Manage work activities in a Hazard Category 2, Security Classification 2 radiological facility while maintaining compliance with Laboratory policies and regulations.
• Organize resources, coordinate multiple teams, and support project execution across construction and field operations.
• Ensure consistent application of engineering and construction standards and practices between projects.
• Oversee documentation, develop or improve processes, and manage budgets for assigned projects.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, subcontractors, and team members to ensure end-to-end success of deliverables.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records related to job functions.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external partners, as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Promptly report unsafe conditions, equipment issues, or incidents to management.
• Participate in required training sessions and safety briefings.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet operational needs.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in construction or operations
• Experience in work control, quality assurance, or NQA-1 standards.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work through problems quickly and effectively and define a clear path to resolution

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior Field Work Supervisor or line management experience preferred.
• Experience in DOE radiological or Plutonium facilities desirable.
