Position: Model Based Systems Engineering and Artificial Intelligence Post-Doc
** What You Will Do*
* Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is a multidisciplinary research institution engaged in science and engineering on behalf of national security. You will work with the Engineering Division and the Modern Manufacturing Methodologies Group, a world-leading team in modern manufacturing techniques, risk analysis/management, and systems engineering. In this position, you will be a part of a cross-disciplinary collaboration working on a groundbreaking R&D project to create solutions to complex problems.

In this position, you will enhance current capabilities for artificial intelligence (AI) analysis through the validation of model-based systems engineering (MBSE) models.

** What You Need*
* ** Minimum Job Requirement:*
* + An understanding of CAD modeling to support the creation of visual language models (VLMs) that will make corrective suggestions to designers

+   Demonstrated skills in a software/programming language either in support AI or MBSE tools

+   The ability to work and communicate effectively in a diverse team environment

+   Self-motivated and independent researcher who has demonstrated experience as part of an interdisciplinary team

+   Ability to obtain a Q clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship

** Education/

Experience:

* Doctoral Degree in Industrial Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related STEM field of engineering, math, or physics.

** Desired

Qualifications:

* + A record of achievement through reports, publications, intellectual property, and/or technical products

+   Publications in refereed journals and a history of successful research in collaborative team environments

+   Experience developing AI applications

+   Familiarity with "big" datasets and working knowledge of model-based systems engineering tools

** The work location for this position is onsite and located in Los Alamos, NM. All work locations are at the discretion of management.
