Salary Range: $55.00 To $60.00 Hourly

Position Summary

The Project Controls Analyst 3 supports project execution by implementing and maintaining effective project controls systems, including cost, schedule, and Earned Value Management System (EVMS) processes. This role is responsible for performing cost estimating, analysis, and control activities, as well as developing and monitoring project schedules to ensure alignment with organizational objectives. The position contributes to successful project delivery by identifying trends, resolving complex issues, and providing actionable insights to management.

Working independently and collaboratively, the Project Controls Analyst 3 helps drive efficiency, accuracy, and compliance across project functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform cost estimating, cost analysis, and cost control activities to support project planning and execution
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules, ensuring work is completed on time and aligned with project objectives
  • Support and implement Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and project controls processes
  • Identify cost and schedule trends and provide recommendations to management for corrective actions
  • Supervise and provide technical direction for cost engineering and/or planning and scheduling activities, as delegated
  • Prepare and deliver detailed, accurate project status reports and analyses
  • Coordinate with project teams to support organizational and administrative project activities
  • Resolve complex project control issues using advanced analytical and problem‑solving techniques
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business, or a related field and a minimum of eight (8) years of related experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Experience in project controls, including cost estimating, cost control, scheduling, and analysis
  • Experience supporting or implementing Earned Value Management System (EVMS) processes
  • Proficiency with project controls and scheduling software and standard business applications
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work through problems quickly and effectively and define a clear path to resolution
Preferred Qualifications
  • Postgraduate coursework or advanced degree in a related field
  • Experience serving as a Control Account Manager (CAM)
  • Advanced knowledge of project management principles, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Experience with engineering and construction project environments
  • Knowledge of supervision, personnel administration, and training practices
  • Advanced analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
  • Strong ability to work independently and lead or coordinate team activities
