Senior Design Engineers to support Plutonium Facilities Engineering Rapid Response Team.

• Support facility design, operation and maintenance within electrical and civil/structural engineering disciplines.
• Apply broad and diversified knowledge of engineering principles to prepare complex engineering analyses.
• Perform conventional and unique design and analysis, and provide construction and project support.
• Lead projects and supervise the work of others while working independently and as part of a team.
• Utilize engineering technology to accomplish tasks.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary activities and identify system integration opportunities.
• Manage work‑process improvements to meet customer needs.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an ABET‑accredited college or university.
• Minimum of nine (9) years of practical work experience in a related field.
• Expert knowledge of relevant industry, regulatory, or DOE/NNSA codes and standards (e.g., ASCE, ASME, NQA‑1, IBC, IEBC, IEEE, NFPA, NEC).
• Proven knowledge of applicable codes and standards in common use at DOE and DOD facilities.
• Senior‑level understanding of common engineering design document deliverables.
• Experience with common computer‑aided drafting or mark‑up software.
• Advanced engineering or technical degree highly desired.

Position requires the ability to obtain and hold a DOE Q clearance and to participate in the Human Reliability Program. Eligibility requires U.S. citizenship and a minimum age of 18 years.
