An opportunity is available for a skilled RN with ICU experience to provide high-quality nursing care in a well-established acute care hospital located in Los Alamos, New Mexico. This contract role offers the chance to work in a respected 47-bed acute care facility known for serving Northern New Mexico, staffed by over 300 healthcare professionals.

Location Overview:
Los Alamos is a scenic and vibrant community known for its unique blend of natural beauty and scientific innovation. Nestled in the mountains, it offers outdoor activities, cultural richness, and a family-friendly environment. The medical center is a major healthcare provider for the region, ensuring a supportive and professional setting for your nursing practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver critical care nursing services in the Intensive Care Unit with compassion and professionalism
  • Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions accurately
  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care plans
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies and state regulations, including infection control and patient safety protocols
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
  • Current RN license with ICU clinical experience
  • Valid certifications as required, including ACLS and any others per LPNT checklist (must be presented at submission)
  • Ability to pass New Mexico state fingerprinting and background check requirements (14-day waiver with supervision possible)
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Flexibility to follow facility orientation schedules (weekly on Mondays)
Additional Information:
Travel candidates must reside 60 miles or more from the medical center to be eligible. All clinical staff must complete the New Mexico state background check process with the Department of Health. Certifications unavailable on site must be obtained in advance, and the client may request additional certifications beyond standard requirements.
