IT PROJECT MANAGER 4

This position supports the ERP Modernization Program Office and the IT workstream, providing coordination and execution support across enterprise transformation initiatives. The role interfaces with Information & Technology, business organizations, senior leadership, vendors, system integrators, and PMO and Organizational Change Management teams to drive program objectives and ensure alignment across work streams.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

The role will coordinate activities across IT, Finance, HR, procurement, supply chain, cybersecurity, and other stakeholders to support program execution and delivery. Responsibilities include working with vendors and system integrators to track third-party deliverables, coordinate technical dependencies, and ensure alignment with project scope, schedule, and objectives.

The position supports project planning and execution by developing project plans, work packages, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and reporting artifacts. The individual will monitor project progress, drive accountability across teams, and support the successful completion of program objectives.

Additional responsibilities include identifying and managing risks, issues, and dependencies by developing mitigation strategies, tracking progress, escalating concerns, and recommending corrective actions where needed. The role requires active stakeholder engagement, including building strong relationships with customers, technical teams, suppliers, and leadership while effectively communicating project status and technical concepts.

The position also operates independently with limited direction, resolving ambiguity, tracking down required information, and ensuring commitments are met in a fast-paced environment. The role supports coordination across program governance functions, including PMO and organizational change management activities.

WORK HOURS

A standard 40-hour work week is expected. Additional schedule requirements may be provided by the client.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS – EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Education

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field

Experience / Skills
  • 15 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation
  • Proven ability to coordinate across cross-functional teams including IT, Finance, HR, procurement, and supply chain
  • Experience working with vendors, system integrators, and third-party delivery teams
  • Strong project planning and execution experience including schedules, milestones, and deliverables
  • Experience managing risks, issues, and dependencies across complex programs
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to translate technical and project concepts into business-friendly language
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and drive work to completion
PREFERRED / DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Certified Scrum Master or SAFe Scrum Master certification
  • Experience supporting SAP S/4

    HANA implementation, migration, or modernization
  • Experience with Databricks, SAP Business Data Cloud, ERP data conversion, or analytics/reporting
  • Experience working in a Program Management Office environment
  • Experience supporting organizational change management activities
  • Experience supporting enterprise transformation programs across core business functions
  • Experience in a highly regulated environment
  • Strong understanding of federal procurement, financial management, cybersecurity, and compliance requirements
  • Active DOE Q clearance or ability to obtain one
OTHER DETAILS

This position receives functional and operational direction from Information & Technology leadership, the ERP Modernization Program Office, the IT Program Manager, or responsible line manager. Assigned duties may vary and are subject to change based on program needs.
