Chief Information Officer Overview

The New Mexico Consortium (NMC) is seeking a Chief Information Officer (CIO) to provide strategic and technical leadership for all information technology and research computing operations s role oversees enterprise IT systems, cybersecurity, networking, storage, user support, and high‑performance computing (HPC) infrastructure supporting scientific research and organizational operations.

• Masters degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible IT leadership experience.
• Experience managing HPC, scientific computing, or research computing infrastructure strongly preferred.
• Strong technical expertise with Linux systems administration and enterprise infrastructure.
• Knowledge of networking, cybersecurity, virtualization, storage systems, and backup technologies.
• Ability to lead both strategic initiatives and hands‑on technical operations.
• Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.

150, annually.
