** What You Will Do*
* ** Los Alamos National Laboratory is seeking a strategic leader to serve as the Strategy & Value Realization Manager within the Chief Information Officer's (CIO) organization.*
* Serving as the CIO's principal advisor on enterprise technology strategy, portfolio performance, governance, organizational effectiveness, and value realization, this position provides strategic leadership across the Information & Technology (I&T) organization to ensure technology investments align with mission priorities, customer needs, and enterprise objectives.

Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), this position serves as the CIO's senior advisor for strategy, enterprise portfolio alignment, customer engagement, and value realization. The role ensures Information & Technology investments remain aligned with organizational strategy, customer priorities, and mission outcomes while enabling executive decision-making through portfolio governance, strategic planning, performance measurement, and business value realization.

This role provides strategic integration across the CIO organization by connecting enterprise strategy, customer priorities, technology roadmaps, portfolio investments, and organizational performance. The position works collaboratively with portfolio managers and organizational leaders to ensure technology investments deliver measurable business value and advance institutional objectives.

Working closely with Division Leaders, business-line portfolio managers, Business Operations functions, and Laboratory leadership, this position provides enterprise-wide strategic integration by connecting customer needs, organizational priorities, technology roadmaps, and investment portfolios to maximize mission impact and business value.

** Strategy & Customer Alignment*
* + Serve as the CIO's primary strategic liaison with major organizational customers.

+ Develop trusted partnerships to understand future mission priorities and technology needs.

+ Translate customer expectations into enterprise technology strategies and investment priorities.

+ Translate CIO strategic priorities into portfolio investment strategies.

+ Partner with business-line portfolio managers to ensure alignment between customer priorities, technology roadmaps, and enterprise objectives.

+ Identify opportunities to improve customer experience through integrated technology planning.

+ Ensure customer priorities are reflected in executive portfolio decisions.

** Enterprise Portfolio Strategy & Value Realization*
* + Lead enterprise portfolio integration across organizational portfolios, identifying dependencies, duplication, and cross-functional opportunities.

+ Establish benefit realization plans and monitor expected versus realized business outcomes.

+ Conduct strategic tradeoff analyses, scenario planning, and investment recommendations.

+ Develop executive recommendations regarding strategic investment priorities, capability gaps, and future technology direction.

+ Monitor strategic risks affecting enterprise technology direction.

** Governance & Organizational Performance*
* + Partner with PMO staff and portfolio managers to improve execution discipline, project visibility, and organizational accountability.

+ Facilitate executive governance boards, operational reviews, and portfolio decision forums.

+ Ensure consistency in governance, accountability, operational execution, and customer-focused service delivery across all CIO divisions.

+ Identify enterprise risks, organizational dependencies, and operational issues while ensuring timely mitigation and resolution.

+ Lead continuous improvement initiatives that increase organizational effectiveness, operational maturity, and business process efficiency.

+ Partner to develop executive reporting that provides meaningful insight into organizational performance and strategic progress.

** Executive Decision Support*
* + Advise the CIO on enterprise technology investment strategy, portfolio performance, organizational priorities, and value realization.

+ Prepare executive decision packages for governance boards and investment reviews.

* + Significant experience leading enterprise portfolio management, strategic planning, program management, business operations, or organizational performance within a large, complex organization.

+ Demonstrated experience developing and implementing enterprise strategies, technology roadmaps, investment portfolios, or governance frameworks.

+ Experience partnering with senior leaders to align organizational priorities, customer needs, and technology investments.

+ Experience analyzing complex business issues and developing executive-level recommendations, strategic plans, and decision support materials.
