Manufacturing Manager 1 – Los Alamos National Laboratory

Power Supply & Production (PSP‑6) – Associate Laboratory Directorate Weapons Production (ALDWP).
- Support the assigned group and team under the guidance of Manufacturing Manager 3.
- Provide floor leadership for a team of approximately 10–20 operations personnel executing nuclear material operations in PF‑4.
- Plan the manufacturing floor, oversee work, and provide status updates.
- Perform work activities and mentor/co‑coach operations staff.
- Lead day‑to‑day floor operations in collaboration with MM‑3 and Group Leader.
- Work across ALDWP and stakeholder organizations to facilitate successful execution of PSP Division missions.
- High School diploma and 3 years nuclear experience (DOE Order 426.2); college training may substitute 2 of the 3 years.
- Bachelor’s degree and 1 year related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with manufacturing flowsheet operations in PF‑4.
- Planning and managing tactical execution of work; tracking and reporting progress.
- Compliance with nuclear facility requirements and conduct of operations.
- Demonstrated technical leadership, supervising, mentoring, and motivating staff.
- Experience implementing procedural controls in a nuclear or comparable facility.
- Strong written and oral communication; interpersonal skills at all levels.
- Knowledge of 238
Pu nuclear programs and conduct of engineering/maintenance/operations requirements. - Experience with LANMAS, Weapons Integrated Production Scheduling, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fissile Material Handler or Supervisor.
- Experience working in PF‑4 manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Conduct of Engineering, Conduct of Maintenance, and Conduct of Operations requirements.
