Minimum
Job Requirements:
Program Management:
Advanced knowledge of and experience in program management of technical or operational work, including defining program work scope, schedules, budgets, priorities, and performance milestones; developing cost, scope, and schedule baselines; reporting cost and schedule variance; and managing change control and risk.
Portfolio Management:
Advanced knowledge of the technical or operational discipline of the assigned portfolio(s).
Communication:
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
Collaboration:
Demonstrated experience in interacting effectively with all levels of personnel; building trust, gaining consensus, and resolving conflicts. Experience in developing and nurturing effective customer relationships.
Education Required:
Position requires a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution and 5 years of directly related technical and project management experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.
At this level an advanced degree may be expected.
Desired QualificationsLANL:
Advanced knowledge of regulatory and Laboratory requirements related to programmatic work of assigned portfolio(s).
Stockpile Management:
Advanced Knowledge and experience with the overall mission for NA-12 (Office of Stockpile Management) based programs.
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills & experience interacting in an effective manner with NNSA and/or other federal customers.
Leadership:
Demonstrated experience and leadership in developing and executing complex organizational interface agreements, funding cost models, or similar integration tools.
Product Life Cycle:
Demonstrated experience managing a component or set of components through the 6.x product life‑cycle process (Life Extension Program or Major Alteration experience).
Project Management:
Demonstrated Experience utilizing formal Earned Value Management System (EVMS) principles to help manage a project/program.
Education:
Engineering or science degree.

Location
The work location for this position is onsite and located in Los Alamos, NM. All work locations are at the discretion of management.
Position commitmentRegular appointment employees are required to serve a period of continuous service in their current position in order to be eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory. If an employee has not served the time required, they may only apply for Laboratory jobs with the documented approval of their Division Leader. The position commitment for this position is 1 year.
