Overview
Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a travel RN in Labor & Delivery for a 13‑week assignment in Los Alamos, New Mexico. The assignment begins ASAP, involves 12‑hour night shifts and requires 36 hours per week.
Qualifications- One year of recent experience as a Labor & Delivery RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification
- Preferred: AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification
- Preferred: STABLE and ACLS Certifications (AHA/ARC)
- Communicate labor & delivery procedures to patients and families
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments
- Prepare equipment and aid physician during labor, delivery, and examinations
- Provide immediate postpartum care, including assessment & stabilization of mother and newborn
- Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care
- Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and other team members
- Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence‑based protocols
- Document patient care, assessments, and interventions accurately in the medical record
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results
- Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures
- Comply with all regulatory standards
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of labor & delivery nursing
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Proficiency with PC skills and following written and verbal instructions
- Physical: remain in a stationary position, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, bend
- Interpersonal: work with a variety of personnel, maintain a positive attitude and professionalism
- Technical/Motor: fine manipulation, pushing/pulling, assisting with procedures
- Mental: cope with frequent contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work under supervision or independently, handle irregular activity schedules, maintain concentration to detail

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation). Tax‑free stipend amount will be determined.
