How You'll Contribute
- Provides nursing leadership for an assigned shift by supervising and mentoring staff, managing staffing levels based on patient needs and acuity, and ensuring safe, high quality care.
- Assists with direct patient care and problem solving as needed, including taking patient assignments.
- Supports staff with necessary equipment and resources and integrates evidence based practices into clinical protocols.
- Addresses patient care concerns, coordinates admissions, discharges, and transfers, and contributes to performance improvement initiatives.
- Conducts chart audits, supports staff development, fulfills preceptor requirements, and collaborates with nursing leadership on reports, projects, and regulatory compliance.
- Serves as a resource in the use of the EMR system.
- Current state RN license.
- Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
- Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required upon hire.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 3 months of employment.
- One year of experience preferred.
Schedule:
3x12/4x10/5x8 shifts with days (7 a - 7 p) or nights (7 p - 7 a), rotating weekends (every 3rd weekend/every weekend), on call, holidays, etc. Flexibility may be required.
