What You Will Do

We are seeking an outstanding undergraduate student to join our team at the Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies (CINT) to develop an advanced time‑resolved spectroscopy platform and related control systems. The candidate will primarily be involved in the hands‑on development of a structured light supercontinuum spectroscopy system and will have the opportunity to use this system to explore quantum material dynamics with graduate students, postdocs, and staff scientists.

Minimum

Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB, or a similar programming language; exposure to undergraduate/graduate level coursework in quantum mechanics and/or optics.
Education
  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in a STEM field.
  • Currently enrolled (≥12 semester credit hours or full‑time equivalent) in an accredited undergraduate‑degree‑granting program (or international equivalent).
  • Must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.75 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent).
  • First‑year students must provide documentation indicating matriculation in an accredited undergraduate program.
Work Location

The work location for this position is onsite in Los Alamos, NM. All work locations are at the discretion of management.

Clearance
