The Foothill-De Anza Community College District is currently accepting applications for the faculty position of Instructor, Mathematics, De Anza College.
The Foothill - De Anza Community College District does not have a remote work policy. All employees are expected to be available to work in person and on-site per the requirement of the department.

1. Practice student-centered and equity-minded pedagogies in accordance with established course outlines and use high-impact strategies that serve all students including underserved and disproportionately impacted students (i.e., Latinx, African Ancestry, Filipinx, Veterans, Foster Youth, Disabled Students, First-Generation Students, LGBTQ+, and Low-income students).
2. Teach community college statistics and mathematics courses to a diverse student population (course range includes algebra, pre-calculus, calculus, discrete mathematics, linear algebra, differential equations, finite mathematics, and statistics).
3. Collaborate in the development and revision of curriculum.
4. Provide teaching and mentoring services to students in a manner which is inclusive and mindful of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, age, protected veteran status, political affiliation, or other protected categories.
5. Teach in multiple modalities, including asynchronous/synchronous/hybrid online and in-person courses.
6. Perform standard duties expected of all faculty that include:
- maintaining scheduled office hours
- attending department, division, and program meetings
- keeping abreast of pedagogical and discipline research
- pursuing professional growth activities
- participating in activities that enhance the student experience
- serving on district and/or college committees
