PT Mathematics Instructor

Position Overview

Part‑time Mathematics Instructor at Foothill‑De Anza Community College District, Los Altos Hills, CA.

• Teach various levels of mathematics courses.
• Perform instructional, counseling, or librarian duties as assigned.
• Evaluate and assess student work; submit grades in a timely manner.
• Participate in performance assessment, including administrative and student evaluations.
• Engage in campus and staff development activities and contribute to the larger college or district community.
• Eligible for additional pay for office hours, assignments, and professional development events.

• Indoor, office environment.
• Requires hearing and speaking to exchange information; vision sufficient to read materials.
• Dexterity of hands and fingers to perform required tasks.
• Stand, walk, sit for extended periods; bend, kneel, crouch; reach overhead or above the shoulders; lift and carry objects up to 20 lb.

• Understanding of and respect for diverse student, faculty, and staff backgrounds, including disability and sexual orientation.
• Qualifications must meet the Minimum Qualifications for Faculty and Administrators in California Community Colleges published by the Academic Affairs Division, Chancellor's Office.
• Official transcripts verifying qualifications are required prior to offer of employment; international transcripts must be evaluated by an independent educational‑equivalency evaluation company and translated into English if necessary.
