We are seeking a dynamic TK–8 Robotics Educator to lead robotics classes, coach FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL) teams, and coordinate our annual Maker Fair. The ideal candidate will inspire curiosity, collaboration, and innovation in students through hands‑on, project‑based learning. This is a part‑time position.
Key Responsibilities- Teach robotics classes across TK–8 using age‑appropriate tools and programming.
- Coach and mentor FLL teams, guiding students through design, coding, research, and teamwork.
- Plan and organize the annual Maker Fair to showcase student innovation.
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate STEM and design thinking into interdisciplinary projects.
- Manage robotics kits, maker tools, and classroom resources.
- Communicate with families and engage the broader school community.
- Detail‑oriented, hardworking, and able to execute at a high level.
- Go‑getter with a hands‑on attitude and willingness to support in new ways.
- High EQ with empathy and joy in work.
- Passion for robotics, STEM, and inspiring young learners.
- Strong organizational and project‑management skills.
- Excellent communicator and collaborator.

- Strong interpersonal skills, handling situations with tact and diplomacy.
- Previous experience in an education setting with a STEM background.
- Degree in Education, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience teaching or working with K–8 students.
- Familiarity with LEGO® Robotics Spike Prime, VEX, Arduino, or similar platforms.
- Prior experience with FLL or other robotics competitions is a plus.
- Valid California Teaching Credential in one of the following:
Math, Industrial Technology, Science (Physics), or Computer Science. - Supplementary Authorization for Industrial Arts or Computer Science.
- CLAD/EL Authorization.

- Full‑time equivalent salary range $78,207–$111,549, based on years of experience; compensation adjusted proportionally for part‑time.
- Part‑time (0.5–0.725 FTE).
- Must regularly stand, walk, talk, hear, see, read, speak, reach, lift, and carry objects (up to 30 lbs) and sit throughout the workday as needed for teaching tasks and related responsibilities.
- Valid work authorization.
- Verification per AB 2534 (credential and work history review).
- First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
- TB clearance completed within the last 60 days.
- Cleared criminal background check.
