Job Summary

In a multi-faceted instructional role, Associate Teachers balance collaborative instructional support with independent classroom leadership. This position is designed for educators to provide high‑impact assistance to grade‑level teams while maintaining readiness to scale as lead instructors.

Under the mentorship of lead teachers, Associate Teachers refine pedagogical skills by leading data‑driven small‑group interventions, co‑planning inclusive curricula, facilitating formative assessments, and designing and delivering co‑curriculars.

At the direction of the School Principal, Associate Teachers pivot from a support capacity to the primary internal successor for statutory leaves (such as medical, military, or administrative leave). They become the Temporary Teacher of Record for 30 days or more, assuming full ownership of the classroom, lesson implementation, grading, and parent communication to ensure continuity and academic rigor.

Ultimately, this role provides excellent hands‑on classroom experience and a direct pipeline to a full lead Teacher position within one to two years.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high‑level assistance to grade‑level teams.
  • Lead data‑driven small‑group interventions.
  • Co‑plan inclusive curricula.
  • Facilitate formative assessments to drive student growth.
  • Design and deliver co‑curriculars.
  • Act as Temporary Teacher of Record during extended assignments (≥30 days).
  • Maintain instructional continuity, grading, and parent communication.
  • Develop pedagogical skills under mentorship.
  • Support classroom readiness and leadership.

  • BA/BS and a valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with an EL Authorization or CLAD (required).

Working Conditions
  • The position requires regular standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing, reading, speaking, reaching, lifting, and carrying objects up to 30 lbs., and sitting throughout the day.
Employment Offers
