Qualifications and
Experience:
- Current teaching credential in Special Education
- Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong knowledge of special education laws and best practices
- Effective collaboration skills with general education teachers, administrators, and families
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Creative problem-solving skills and adaptability in the classroom
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deliver, and modify instruction to meet students differing abilities and learning styles
- Create and update IEPs, ensuring compliance with school and district guidelines
- Assess student progress regularly and maintain accurate records
- Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
- Work closely with paraprofessionals and related service providers
- Maintain communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress and goals
- Participate in professional development and school meetings as required
