Senior Full Stack Engineer and Team Lead

Full‑time position in Los Altos, CA. This role is a key technical leader for a fast‑growing real‑estate analytics company that tracks over 100 million properties. You will report to the CEO, manage the engineering team, and help shape the product’s architecture and roadmap.

• Lead and mentor the engineering team, driving delivery and fostering a culture of high performance.
• Develop and maintain a highly scalable, fast‑moving web application built on a LAMP stack and migrating to AWS Elastic Beanstalk and RDS.
• Improve performance, scalability, and usability of the core platform.
• Plan and execute data‑engineering pipelines such as importing large 10 GB TXT files into MySQL and running post‑processing scripts.
• Aggregate property data from multiple sources, reconcile addresses, and generate analytics for map‑based visualizations.
• Build new user interfaces on top of internal APIs using Sketch mock‑ups and modern front‑end frameworks (Angular/React JS, HTML, CSS).
• Participate in SCRUM ceremonies, manage branching strategies, and coordinate migration from SVN to Git/Bitbucket.
• Drive cost‑effective cloud architecture decisions and support the migration effort.
• Collaborate closely with product, data science, and operations teams.

• Strong software‑engineering background with experience in full‑stack development.
• Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React JS), HTML, and CSS.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services (Elastic Beanstalk, RDS) and cloud architecture.
• Experience leading engineering teams, mentoring, and driving process improvements.
• Familiarity with SCRUM, Git branching strategies, and continuous integration pipelines.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to develop complex data pipelines.
