Position: Accounting Representative (Finance)

Responsibilities What You’ll Do

  • Travel Reimbursements/Accounts Payable.
  • Prepare expense reports/invoices for payment, including but not limited to receipt verification, supplier/producer creation, and travel-related reimbursements.
  • Familiarity with General Ledger account coding structure.
  • Prepare and enter invoice payment batches into Oracle.
  • Initiate check disbursement for all invoice payments.
  • Organize check documentation for signatures.
  • Distribute completed checks to appropriate recipients.
  • Research and resolve discrepancies including but not limited to proper general ledger accounting.
  • Prepare and enter all accounts payable related journal entries, including monthly and year-end accruals for committed expenses for various accounts.
  • Interact with various departments, Locals and Board Members for all inquiries.
  • Accounts Receivable.
  • Enter and maintain customer information.
  • Prepare and enter information for customer invoice.
  • Print and distribute customer invoices.
  • Code incoming payments to proper GL accounts.
  • Post member payments and back up cashiers as needed.
  • Maintain all online supplier information and coordinate all on-hand documentation to ensure compliance with all 1099 related regulations.
  • Other department related duties assigned or required.

  • Prior experience with bookkeeping fundamentals.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in written form.
  • Able to organize and coordinate multiple tasks under daily deadlines.
  • Able to prioritize tasks based on urgency, and work under pressure.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Capable of taking direction from more than one supervisor.
  • Must be courteous with great interpersonal skills.
  • Possess an aptitude for learning new processes, and flexibility in working environment.
  • Demonstrate effective skills in the use of PC applications.
  • Superlative interpersonal skills: a high degree of patience and tact. Must be able to cultivate respectful, strategic and collaborative relationships with people from diverse backgrounds both internally and externally.
  • Hold yourself and others accountable for a high level of performance and integrity.
  • Have an understanding and awareness of worker rights impacting SAG-AFTRA members.
  • Must be able to work in a very challenging environment where constructive feedback from others is encouraged.
  • Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined at SAG-AFTRA’s sole discretion.
  • Must be available and willing to work extended hours per day or per week, including weekends and holidays, as SAG-AFTRA determines is necessary to meet its business needs.
  • Must be available and willing to travel to such locations and with such frequency as SAG-AFTRA determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.
Minimum Qualifications Education and/or

Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent certification.
  • 3-5 years’ experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Some college is preferred.
Testing Requirements
  • Basic skills- math, spelling, grammar and filing – passing score: 76%
  • Typing 35 wpm
  • Word and Excel tests; basic, intermediate & advanced– passing score: 76%
  • 10 Key test (by touch)
  • Accounting test
